GrassRoots Environmental Effectiveness Network (GREEN), a Project of

Defenders of Wildlife

Description: Work with a nationwide activist network to strengthen the

Endangered Species Act and protect our public lands. Contact activists

and environmental groups nationwide via telephone, fax and E-mail.

Follow legislation on mining, timber, public lands and endangered

species issues. Assist in daily office activities and database

maintenance. Answer requests for information on biodiversity issues.

 

Salary: None; college credit available.

 

Qualifications: GREEN is looking for interns with good communication and

writing skills. Previous experience in wildlife issues is also

preferred but not required. Computer skills also a plus.
