People

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures is a diverse and vibrant community that is focused on the collective task of learning through language study and the exploration of culture. Accomplishing this task would not be possible without the many wonderful people that make up our community. Our faculty, staff, students and alumni interact with each other in a variety of ways, challenging each other to grow, learn, think, and have fun at the same time.

The open and collaborative nature of our of the department allows learning to take place both inside and outside the classroom in the form of cultural events, lunchtime language table meetings, film screenings, and much, much more. We eagerly encourage friends, parents, visitors, and students and colleagues from other departments to take part in our events and become a part of our extended family.
