THE OFFICE FOR FOREIGN STUDY IS LOCATED IN PEARSON HALL
In the Office for Foreign Study (Pearson 113) you will find:
A) Rosa Bernard (Foreign Study Coordinator), Diana Malick (Foreign Study Assistant) and Steve Piker (Foreign Study Advisor), each of whom will be glad to greet you, work with you, and help you at all stages of your foreign study endeavors. Rosa is normally available weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Diana is normally available weekday mornings; and Steve is available mainly weekday afternoons, and sometimes weekday evenings and weekends, usually by sign up appointment. The Office for Foreign Study is closed Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for lunch. Sign up sheets for appointments are outside the office door, or please call x7827. If you need to reach either Rosa Bernard or Steve Piker right away, you can usually do so by either e-mail or phone (rbernar1, x7826; spiker1, x8451/8111, or 610 543-1480).
B) A resource room, which contains foreign study program materials (printed and video); website
addresses for recommended programs; information on, e.g., insurance, travel, passports and visas; lists of students who have completed foreign study,
and their written evaluations of the programs they have attended; travel advisories; assorted reading about other cultures and far away places that
may be of interest to you; fax and telephone, if you need to use same for your foreign study planning; and space for you comfortably to use
these resources. The resource room is normally open week-days, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
